Summary:
5K run/walk for both serious runners and families; involves some hills. Also includes a Kids Trot.

Event Details:
Rockingham Christian Church is organizing this event to include a
scenic 5K walk/run providing professional timing services and Kids Trot
with awards, prizes, goodie bags, event T-shirts (for the first 200 registered) and great food.
The
1st Annual Salem Fest 5K walk/run will be a great event both IN the
community and FOR the community. It is our desire for people from
Salem and the surrounding communities to come together and enjoy two
things they have in common - running and families.
In an effort
to continue the community idea, all net proceeds will go to support two
non-profit organizations in the Salem community. This first year, we
have chosen both the Salemhaven Center to specifically support their
Rehab Unit and Resident Council that plans activities for the
residents. We have also chosen the NH Food Bank, which will be
supported through our Kids Trot. Children are asked to bring a canned
food item as their "entry fee."
